A solemn memorial Mass for His Holiness Pope Francis was celebrated at Nirmala Chapel, Colombo 4, drawing together a gathering of the faithful along with Jesuit priests serving in Colombo, Kelaniya, and Negombo.

The main celebrant of the Mass was Fr Noel Dias, (Senior Lecturer, UOC) joined by Fr Sujeewa Pathirana SJ, the Provincial of the Jesuits of Sri Lanka, as well as Fr Thushara Sampath SJ, Superior of the Negombo Jesuit Community and Fr Dilan Perera SJ, Superior of the Colombo Jesuit Community, who served as con-celebrants. Special thanks to Fr. Theodore SJ and the community of Nirmal Jesuit Chapel.

The liturgy was marked by prayerful reflection, gratitude for the life and papal ministry of Pope Francis, and a deep sense of unity among the Jesuit communities and lay faithful present. Special intercessions were offered for the soul of the late Pope.
